Reboot & Haiku

Peeks in head, sheepish
floundering, drowning, should I
make poems again

The daily experiment went about as well as I expected. I'm not particularly good at that. I gave up entirely and fell off the poetry wagon, but lately I've been feeling the pull once again.

So I'm going to try to give it another go and immerse myself in poetry for a whole year. I'll worry less about daily posting and more on learning and filling my creative well. Posting access is completely open, so please feel free to start discussions. I'd still like to keep personal poetry to a weekly share post.

Here's an interesting article I found on haiku. I love haiku! Are you a 5-7-5 purist or more of the 'captured moment' thing they describe. I have to admit that I'm a purist. Much like how I'm a 100-word drabble purist, I think that the strictures of the form are part of its purpose/word crafting.
